my heart always gives a little leap of joy
when he smiles lovingly at me
everytime he wakes
(even for that second he cracks opens his eyes and falls back asleep straight after)

then he'll keep repeating that he loves me
or he'll cuddle me so tight that
i'll always wake him without fail
when i try to extricate myself from his embrace.
